The first hearing has been held regarding the gas explosion that occurred in San Bruno on September 9, killing 8 and destroying 37 homes.  During the hearing, PG&E came under fire for safety as well as monetary issues. $5 million dollars had been allocated to PG&E to work on the pipeline prior to the explosion.
